WELCOME TO THE AUTONOMOUS SYSTEMS LAB


The Autonomous Systems Lab focuses on estimation and control for a variety of applications in the general area of autonomous/semi-autonomous robotic systems. It is directed by Professors Mark Campbell and Hadas Kress-Gazit of the Sibley School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University.

The lab is equipped with a variety of vehicles (Pioneer rovers, aerial quad-rotors, walking robots), sensors (laser range finder, camera/vision, infra-red/thermal) and an experimental area containing a Vicon system for accurate GPS-like indoor localization using multiple fixed cameras. The lab also has a set of robots for outdoor use, including a fully autonomous Chevrolet Tahoe (Skynet), one of the finishers of the 2007 DARPA Urban Challenge, rugged Segway robots, and handheld ultramobile computers.
